Full Practice Test - Speaking


Overview of Speaking Practice Test

Purpose:
To simulate the Speaking section of the IELTS test under real test conditions.

Components:
Includes all three parts of the IELTS Speaking test.

Timing:
11-14 minutes total.

Speaking Test Format

Part 1: Introduction and Interview (4-5 minutes)
General questions about yourself, your home, work, studies, and interests.

Part 2: Long Turn (3-4 minutes)
You will be given a task card with a topic.
You have 1 minute to prepare and then speak for 1-2 minutes.

Part 3: Discussion (4-5 minutes)
Further discussion on the topic introduced in Part 2.
You will answer more abstract and complex questions.

Sample Speaking Test Topics

Part 1 Questions:
Tell me about your hometown.
⁕ What do you do for work or study?
⁕ How do you usually spend your weekends?

Part 2 Cue Card:
Describe a memorable trip you have taken.
⁕ Where did you go?
⁕ Who did you go with?
⁕ What did you do there?
⁕ Why was this trip memorable?

Part 3 Discussion Questions:
⁕ What are the benefits of traveling?
⁕ How has tourism changed in your country over the last decade?
⁕ Do you think people will travel more or less in the future?
