Before starting the writing tasks, review the key points from previous lessons:

Academic:
Focus on describing graphs, charts, tables, and processes.

General:
Focus on writing formal or informal letters.

Key components:
Greeting, purpose, and content (General).
Introduction, overview, and detailed paragraphs (Academic)

Types of essays:
Opinion, discussion, problem-solution, advantages-disadvantages.

Essay structure:
Introduction, body paragraphs, conclusion.

Academic:
The chart below shows the percentage of households in the UK with a car from 1971 to 2007. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

General:
You are moving to a new city for work and need to find accommodation. Write a letter to a real estate agent in the new city. In your letter, introduce yourself, describe the type of accommodation you need, and ask for advice on suitable neighborhoods.

Timed Writing:
Spend 20 minutes writing your response. Focus on structure, clarity, and using appropriate language.

Task Prompt:
Some people think that children should start learning a foreign language at a very young age. Others believe that it is better to wait until they are older. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Timed Writing:
Spend 40 minutes writing your essay. Pay attention to essay structure, coherence, and developing your argument effectively.
