➧ A rabbit starts as a tiny baby inside its mother, becomes a newborn kit, grows into a young rabbit, and finally becomes an adult rabbit!

➧ This amazing growth is called a life cycle.

The Rabbit Life Cycle

Rabbits grow in stages

1. Gestation

➧ A mother rabbit carries baby rabbits inside her body

➧ The babies grow safely before they are born

➧ This stage happens before the kits are born

2. Newborn | Kit

➧ A baby rabbit is called a kit

3. Young Rabbit | Juvenile

➧ The young rabbit opens its eyes and grows soft fur
