Hi friends!
Today we are learning about a soft and fluffy animal… the rabbit!
Did you know a rabbit changes as it grows?
A rabbit starts as a tiny baby inside its mother, becomes a newborn kit, grows into a young rabbit, and finally becomes an adult rabbit!
This amazing growth is called a life cycle.
Let’s discover each stage together!

The Rabbit Life Cycle

Rabbits grow in stages


1. Gestation

A mother rabbit carries baby rabbits inside her body
The babies grow safely before they are born
This stage happens before the kits are born

Key idea
The rabbit life begins inside the mother


2. Newborn | Kit

A baby rabbit is called a kit
Kits are tiny and cannot see when they are born
They stay warm in a nest and drink milk from their mother

Key idea
The newborn rabbit is small and needs care


3. Young Rabbit | Juvenile

The young rabbit opens its eyes and grows soft fur
It starts hopping and exploring
It begins eating grass and vegetables

Key idea
The young rabbit learns to hop and eat


4. Adult Rabbit

The rabbit becomes fully grown
Adult rabbits can run fast and care for babies
They can start the life cycle again

Key idea
The adult rabbit starts the cycle again


Why Rabbit Are Important

Rabbits are part of nature and food chains
They help spread seeds in nature
Rabbits are gentle animals that many people care for
Wild rabbits help keep ecosystems balanced
